What is a LISTSERV? A listserv is a system for distributing messages. A subscriber addresses an e-mail to the listserv address, and the system automatically distributes copies of the messages to each subscriber. When an individual replies to that message, it to is distributed to the entire group.

What are these used for? Listserv are very effective communication venues for health care professionals. Treatment ideas, clinical tips, legislative issues, etc can all be exchange easily within the group. Clinical education models, clinical sites, and administrative issues can be dated effectively by using the listserv.

How to use the Listserv:

  1. Subscribe by sending a blank e-mail to:
    VOTA-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
  2. Post messages to the listserv by addressing them to:
    VOTA@yahoogroups.com (note: you must be subscribed to post)
  3. Unsubscribe from the listserv by sending a blank message to:
    vota-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
